MARYSOL SCHALIT,
SWITZERLAND - SOPRANO

 

Née en 1982, Marysol Schalit commença l’étude du Chant à l’Université des Arts Bern/Biel. En Octobre 2007 elle compléta son diplôme de Concert avec distinction. Elle est à présent membre du Studio de l’Opéra Suisse a Biel, et continue ses études avec un “diplôme Solo”. Elle suit ses études avec Marianne Kohler, et participe a des master classes avec Kristina Làki, Jadwiga Rappé, Cornelia Kallisch, Yvonne Naef et Gérard Wyss. Elle est concertiste, et chante également dans des comédies musicales, cabarets, et autres productions théâtrales. En 2007, elle chanta Amour dans l’oeuvre de Gluck, Orphée et Eurydice, avec l’orchestre baroque de Cantus Firmus. Elle a récemment chanté Despina dans Cosi fan tutte de Mozart à Biennale Bern et au Théâtre Biel/Solothurn, aussi bien que Flora dans “The Turn of the Screw” de Benjamin Britten. Elle continue cette saison avec Guadalena et Manuelita dans La Périchole d’Offenbach. Elle a gagné des prix du Friedel Wald–Stiftung (2006), Kiefer Hablitzel, Hedwig Collard-Scherer Stiftung (2008), et la Compétition Internationale Simandy Josef en Hongrie (2008).

Marysol Schalit (1982) began studying singing at the Universität der Künste Bern/Biel, where she completed her concert diploma with distinction in 2007. She is currently a member of the Swiss Opera Studio Biel and is continuing work toward a solo diploma. Studying with Marianne Kohler, she is also broadening her training in master classes with Krisztina Làki, Jadwiga Rappé, Cornelia Kallisch, Yvonne Naef, and Gérard Wyss. She is active as a concert singer, while also performing in several musicals, cabarets, and theatre productions. In 2007 she sang the part of Amour in Gluck’s Orpheus and Eurydice with the baroque orchestra Cantus Firmus. Recent roles include Despina in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte at the Biennale Bern and Theatre Biel/Solothurn and Flora in Benjamin Britten’s The Turn Of Screw. This season she will appear as Guadalena and Manuelita in Offenbach’s La Périchole. She has won awards from numerous organizations and competitions, including the Friedel Wald–Stiftung (2006), the Kiefer Hablitzel, the Hedwig Collard-Scherer Stiftung (2008), and the International Simandy Josef Competition in Hungary (2008).
